Tiffany Studios New York Pair of "Three-light Lily" Desk lamps

Each Tiffany Studios New York Three-Light Lily table lamp features three golden Favrile glass shades in the form of lily blossoms, suspended in a graceful downward arc above a patinated bronze “cushion” base. Modeled on morning glories, the shades are distinguished by their trumpet-like profiles and polychromatic brilliance. The motif reflects Louis Comfort Tiffany’s sustained engagement with the flower, inspired in part by widely circulated Japanese woodblock prints and explored repeatedly in his watercolor studies. The base, conceived as a stylized architectural rosette, grounds the composition in classical ornament and is fitted with a turn switch for operation.
