Dating from circa 1997, this 18K gold Tiffany & Co. bow brooch is set with over 7 carats of diamonds. It is designed as a highly three dimensional bow of five loops pavé-set throughout with round brilliant-cut diamonds, its center channel-set with a band of graduating diamond baguettes. Diamond bows have been a beloved Tiffany jewel since the firm was founded in the mid-19th century. From the 1960s, Tiffany has taken advantage of the long tradition of excellence in Italian artisanal manufacturing and design, working in tandem with jewelers there. In 1960, for example, they entered into a celebrated partnership with the Settepassis, Florentine jewelers with four centuries of heritage and expertise.
