The "track track" bracelet, whose links were similar in appearance to the treads of a tank, was a beloved style of the late 1930s and 1940s. Appearing during the Art Moderne period, when artists found inspiration in the monumental forms of contemporary industry, these voluminous bracelets continued to appeal during the wartime when military motifs were front and center. The maker of this bracelet, Marcel-François Renard, Paris, was founded in 1938.
