Sparse, abstracted floral and vegetal designs decorate the vase, accenting its outlining curves and lines.

Georges de Feure was a renown and self taught textile designer, poster illustrator, theater designer, ceramicist who is considered among the fathers of the Art Nouveau movement. Ever an independent thinker, de Feure rejected schooling and instead dedicated himself to his craft, soon becoming a primary designer for L'Art Nouveau Bing, the premiere destination for Art Nouveau.
