A beautifully hued set of glasses by Tiffany Studios, these delicate pieces are so brilliantly colored and dynamically formed as to provide a strength of design that is at ravishing odds with the daintiness of the work's composition. A rippling upper edge in milky glass allows for peeks of violet and mauve iridescence within each glass. Milky glass forms striations throughout the glass's body and stem.

The impact of viniculture on the decorative arts can be clearly seen in Tiffany's oeuvre. The earliest pieces of Tiffany's Favrile glassware drew inspiration from the Greek stamons, or wine jar, krater and tazza. Tiffany's early jewelry creations also heavily used the grape leaf motif.
