Tiffany Studios New York "Moorish" Lantern Chandelier in Green & Orange Mottled Glass
Suspended by an original straight rod and decorative chains with "ball" links, the body of this enchanting "Moorish" chandelier by Tiffany Studios New York brings to mind the great decorative receptacles of incense, of frankincense and myrrh, that belong to a bygone age. The rounded shade is made of rich, green and orange, rectangular panels of mottled glass and decorated with raised, fin-like panels of pierced open-work in an intricate, Arabesque design. The open-work segments taper as they wrap around the curvilinear silhouette of the shade, curling upward into raised swirling motifs as the rise above the apex of the green and orange hued glass orb and terminating, at its bottom, into a pointed cap with striated openwork.
