Tiffany Studios New York Flower Form Favrile Glass Vase

This flower form Favrile glass vase, by Tiffany Studios New York, features an organically-shaped, cream-colored upper portion, beautifully decorated with pulled feathering decoration in iridescent green and golden hues that are so bright, so shimmering, and so fluid in form as to mimic the appearance of a flame. The stem of the piece is appropriately colored green, while the extensively decorated foot is similarly hued but tinged with rich amber. The mixture of colors is wonderfully highlighted by the undulating ribbing in the shape of the foot.

Ornamentation was added before the piece had its final shape, so that the decoration became fully integrated into the vessel.
