
Sapphire and Garnet Négligée Necklace
This is colorful European Belle Époque négligée necklace, dating from 1905, is set with diamonds and over fifteen carats of colored gems, comprising a blue sapphire, yellow sapphire and a red garnet. Completed by delicate platinum trace links, the necklace centers a cushion-shaped garnet suspending an oval-cut blue sapphire and cushion-shaped yellow sapphire, all joined by delicate criss-crossing old mine and rose-cut diamond elements. Light, graceful and comfortable on the neck, this jewel is a sophisticated combination of bold color, sparkling little diamonds and delicate platinum work.
