J.R. Wood & Sons Lapis Cabochon Ring
Made by the New York and San Francisco firm J.R. Wood & Sons, this streamlined late Art Deco ring dating from the 1930s is set with a lapis cabochon in bi-color gold. The elongated lapis sugarloaf cabochon is edged by an arched rose gold border, and flanked by reverse-curved yellow gold shoulders. Cleverly referencing artistic elements from architecture to create a streamlined, sleek form for the rich blue lapis cabochon, this ring is at once modern vintage and fully contemporary in its appeal.
