The lightness and refinement of Gianmaria Buccellati's honeycomb jewels were inspired by the graceful collars of Venetian lace worn by men and women during the Renaissance. These "tulle" jewels allow the diamonds to hover above the skin, while the metal mounting itself is reduced by the craftsman to near non-existence.
