Buccellati Diamond Leaf Fringe Necklace

A very fine example of Buccellati’s mid-century jewels, this slightly tapered bi-color gold and diamond leaf necklace is set with nearly three hundred diamonds, weighing almost twenty carats in total. Subtly referencing classical forms, the abstract leaf pendants enclose foliate diamond motifs, interspersed with a pendant fringe of diamond buds. With Buccellati’s customary elegance and grace, the hand textured gold leaves encircle the neck delicately with warmth and sparkle.

Instead, he poured his passion and intergenerational skill into exploring the art of chased and engraved goldwork. His unrivaled mastery of gold allowed him to give it the appearance and texture of rich velvet, precious damasks, and Venetian lace, unique work that has made Buccellati beloved throughout the world.
