Elizabeth Copeland Enamel Poppies Silver Jewelry Box

SOLD
$85,000

This delicately-scaled silver box, by master enamelist and metalsmith Elizabeth Copeland, is an Arts & Crafts collectible treasure. A rich bouquet of poppy blossoms and leaves on a royal blue background are rendered in enamel, framed by raised metalwork with heart motifs. This miniature jewelry box shows Copeland's work at its best, the richly-colored poppies and sensitive, hand-wrought artistry attesting to her deep affinity with the enamelists of the Renaissance.
