Louis Majorelle "Pommes de Pins" Walnut Armchair
This walnut armchair by Louis Majorelle, also called the "Pommes de Pins," or "Pinecone" armchair, features legs serving as a marvelous signature of its maker. The well-known French Art Nouveau trick, by which Louis Majorelle created a turnicated, twisting effect in the extremities of his furniture, are seen in this chair with the motif repeated several times, as the columns supporting the gracefully-sloping open sides of the armchair excitingly showcase the same effect.
Customization: The chair back and seat are currently upholstered in an olive green velvet fabric, but can be reupholstered in any colorway of your choosing upon request—we have shown a variety of colorways here as examples.
