Raymond Yard Peridot, Pink Sapphire, and Amethyst Flower Brooch

Set with over ten carats of pink sapphires, peridots, and amethyst, this outsize floral spray brooch was created by the New York firm of Raymond Yard. The stylized flowers, pierced curling leaves, and scrolling tendrils are highlighted by fancy-cut peridots and pink sapphires, accented by a single round bloom composed of a cabochon amethyst framed by pear-cut peridots. Volumized yet light, this fanciful post-war spray of gemmy blossoms and sculpted gold expresses joy in the vivid colors and exuberant forms of nature.
