Tiffany Studios New York "Bronze Bud" Floor Vase

This patinated "Bronze Bud" floor vase by Tiffany Studios New York, is an unique candelabra-type glass bud vase. Beginning with a striated lily pad base, this piece features six truncated stems with scrolled feet that converge to form an elegant single stem, which rises only to divide itself sixfold once more, and form rose bud shaped cradles for elongated clear glass vases. Towering over the circular arrangement of the six vases is a central seventh vase, also held by a bud.

Though sleek and architectural at first glance, it should be noted that every element of this lovely and unusual vase is imbued with a sense of the organic, from the very subtle texturing that turns the vase cradles into rose buds to the scrolling at the feet of the stems to the sensuous dipping of the stems in the upper portion that mimic the actual stems of blooms.
