Maurice Dufrène Patinated Bronze Dancing Figures Clock
This clock by Maurice Dufrène, in green and brown patinated bronze, features dancing figures of a man and a woman, modeled by Félix Voulot for the Parisian atelier, La Maison Moderne. The daring clock form demonstrates the height and the heart of French Art Nouveau; with it's swinging, sinuous lines and wonderful naturalistic ginkgo leaf details we can consider this unusually patinated clock with lovers, mid-embrace atop of it, to be nothing short of a masterpiece of its time.
