Émile Gallé "Plum" Cameo Glass Vase
This mold-blown cameo glass "Plum" vase, by Émile Gallé in the Art Nouveau style, most prominently features applied blue and yellowish-burgundy rounded plum fruits, arranged in bunches and framed by highly detailed deep burgundy and brownish leaves. The vegetal motif works its way charmingly around the vase, so that it appears as if a branch, heavily laden with the delicious fruit, is wrapping itself around the vase. The multi-hued vine is presented on a bright yellow ground.
