Louis Majorelle Walnut and Fruitwood Marquetry Desk
This joyful French Art Nouveau walnut desk with fruitwood marquetry and bronze hardware, by Louis Majorelle, promises to inspire, with its bouquets of marquetry flowers decorating the apron drawer and upright back of the piece, which features letter holders on each side, and the abstracted heart shaped nature of the desk's surface. Adding to the uplifting beauty of the piece are the wonderful bronze detailing on the pulls of the drawers, which are cast as stylized flowers.
