David Webb’s jewelry celebrates humanity’s long long affair with gold. There is no civilization that has had access to gold that has not prized it. Greco-Persian, Sumerian, Cypriot, Mayan, Scythian and Chinese artifacts, studied at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, were all sources of inspiration for Webb’s history-infused jewelry, which boldly features both architectural and geometric motifs and artisanal techniques shared across ancient civilizations.
