Cartier Gold and Diamond Bouquet Brooch
Created in the 1940s, this gold bouquet brooch is accented by approximately five carats of diamonds. Designed as a collection of blossoms on a flexible stalk, the flower heads are formed of interwoven twisted gold wire supporting individual florets accented by diamonds, and suspending a rope-work tassel with acorn pendant. Created by Cartier for a client who provided their own diamonds, this finely textured and sparkling brooch has a sense of the designer’s free hand and lively originality.
