This necklace dates from the 1980s , when the firm's jewelers conducted a deep consideration of their sources of inspiration and the nature of design. Of the same era as the "Parentesi" collection, this design for this necklace also asserts the Bulgari concept that a successful jewel can derive from a "graphic sign, chosen at random". "Modules" such as those forming this link pattern result in a "modern, uncluttered simplicity" that is timeless. In addition to necklaces, this hard-to-find link system has also been used by Bulgari to create flexible rings.
