Diamond Dove Brooch with Ruby Accents

Made in the 1930s by an unknown Parisian jeweler, this graceful pavé-set diamond dove brooch represents the pinnacle of a lost jeweler’s art. The bird’s sensitive platinum modeling, combined with the mount’s extraordinarily delicate “ajouring” (opening to the light) of the variously sized hand-cut diamonds, creates a true creature of light. Featuring two red rubies on its head, a cabochon black onyx eye, and a black enamel beak, wear the dove brooch, just as when it was created, as an enduring and inspiring symbol of peace.
