Gabriel Argy-Rousseau Pâte de Verre "Lions" Glass Vase
This French Art Nouveau pâte de verre "Lions" glass vase, by Gabriel Argy-Rousseau, depicts a series of three roaring, mottled brown lions in various stages of the hunt against a mottled cream ground. The beautifully composed glass vase features velvety beige-, red-, and brownish-hued swirling desert vegetation, all of which is bowing dynamically to the force of a strong invisible wind.
