Louis Comfort Tiffany for Tiffany & Co. Golden Topaz and Emerald Necklace
Dating from 1910-1915, this unusual and alluring necklace belongs to a group of jewels exploring one of Louis Comfort Tiffany’s favorite motifs, the fruiting grapevine, in a blue-green and gold palette. The pendant, with its substantial golden topaz and emeralds nestling among polychrome basse-taille enamel leaves, hangs from a glamorous cascade of gem-set links and delicate hand-wrought chain. Gorgeous, generously long, and gemmy, it slips easily over the head, a casually-wearable masterpiece.
