A Dutch Art Nouveau "eggshell" porcelain vase by Rozenburg. This extremely rare vase was hand decorated and painted by Rozenburg's most famous artist - Samuel Schellink. The slender square baluster body is painted with purple lilies atop green vines and blue-gray foliage. The vase is further enhanced by a narrow waisted neck, flanked by two tapered curved handles. This intricate porcelain technique is generally used for smaller forms and it is unusual to find it applied in the production of a vase of this size.
