French Art Nouveau Bed by Gaillard

A French Art Nouveau mahogany bed with rosewood panels by Eugène Gaillard. This model was designed for the bedroom of the Maison de L’Art Nouveau Bing at the Exposition Universelle of 1900 in Paris. Pictured in: The Paris Salons v.3, p. 208, and: Art Nouveau Bing- Paris Style 1900, p. 189, plate 182.

French Art Nouveau Vanity by Gallé

A French Art Nouveau vanity by Emile Gallé, featuring fruitwood marquetry on the lid and sides. The top of the vanity depicts an abstract landscape scene, the sun represented as a flower setting over a narrow river. The inside of the lid is also decorated with marquetry depicting flowers beside the mirror.
