A French Art Nouveau patinated bronze vase by Charles Korschann. The front of the vase displays a bare breasted woman, wearing a scant, diaphanous veil that leaves suggestion of the feminine form. The figure is surrounded by poppies in bloom and holding a leafy stalk with poppy buds in her hand. Her closed eyelids reference the internal world of dreams and hallucinations.
