French Art Nouveau Desk by Majorelle

A French Art Nouveau carved courbaril and mahogany desk with fruitwood marquetry by Louis Majorelle. This ornately carved wooden desk features a trefoil-patterned marquetry back, gilt bronze mounts on the five drawers and carved wood "lily pad" feet. This desk was a special commission for the Fourcade family, southern France.
